How It Works
A clear, honest look at what happens after you apply to Vantree Management — and what it takes to get in front of casting professionals.
Our Approach
We work openly. This page sets out how our process runs from start to finish, so you know exactly what to expect at every stage — where you stand today, what might be needed to move forward, and how bookings actually come about.
Ready Now
You already have professional photos, a solid portfolio and some industry experience — you may be put forward for work straight away.
Building Up
You're new to the industry or your materials need work — we'll tell you honestly what needs to happen before you're submission-ready.
No two applicants take the same route. Every application is looked at on its own merits.
Step by Step
Apply
Everything starts with your application. We look at your experience so far, the photos and materials you already have, how you present, and whether you fit the briefs we're currently working on. From there we decide the right next step for you.
Review & Placement
Our team reviews your profile and places you on one of two tracks:
Track One — Submission Ready
Your materials already meet professional standards, so you can be considered for live briefs right away.
Track Two — In Development
You have potential, but something is missing — usually photos or presentation — and needs attention first.
Development (Where Needed)
If your profile isn't quite there yet, we may suggest professional support — most often a portfolio shoot to bring your photos up to the standard casting teams expect.
Building Your Profile
When you're ready, we put your professional package together: organising your portfolio, preparing your profile and submission materials, and making sure everything is presented the way casting professionals want to see it.
Representation
Once you're assessed as industry-ready, you may be assigned a dedicated contact at Vantree who monitors incoming briefs, flags the ones that suit you, helps you decide what to go for, and sends your materials to the right casting professionals.

Typical Journeys
Starting From Zero
Came to us with no experience at all. Did the development work, got submission-ready, and is now being put forward for suitable briefs.
Halfway There
Plenty of enthusiasm but weak materials. Upgraded their photos and presentation, and moved on to active representation.
Already Established
Arrived with a strong professional portfolio. Assessed as ready on day one and went straight into submissions.
What You Can Count On
Straight answers, realistic expectations, professional guidance and proper communication — at every stage. Ask us anything before you commit to anything; we'd rather you fully understand the process than sign up confused.
What We Won't Promise
We do not guarantee work — and you should walk away from anyone who says they can. Whether you get booked depends on your suitability for each brief, the competition, market demand, your own commitment, and decisions made independently by casting teams.
